The Driver Education Course, by state law, consists of twenty-four (24) hours of classroom instruction and eight (8) hours of practical (behind the wheel) instruction.
- The conduct of the course is regulated by the Ohio State Patrol. As such, the driving school is not allowed to give more than four (4) hours of instruction of any kind to any student in a twenty-four (24) hour period.
- A student may
start the training when they are fifteen years and five months. They
do not need a temporary permit to take the classroom
work.
- Once the student has completed the classroom sessions (assuming they have obtained their temporary permit), they may schedule their driving.
- The eight (8) hours of behind the wheel training is usually done in 2 hour sessions. It is done with only one student in the car. We are able to get the driving done in the 2-2 1/2 weeks that the teens are taking our classes.
- We will pick up your teen either at home, school, or work. We will do our best to work around your schedule. We are the only driving school in the area with a Driving Range. This is open to our students to practice maneuverability as long as they let us know. Even when they have completed the classes, they can practice in their own car before the test.
- The classroom sessions times are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 5:45pm - 9:00pm. Please sign up using the page or contact us for more information.
